What is GetMentioned?
GetMentioned is an AI search visibility platform that tracks how your brand appears in responses from ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. It shows you which sources AI models cite, where you rank against competitors, and what content gaps you need to fill. Although GetMentioned is a new AI search visibility tool, it already includes useful features.
What are the key features of GetMentioned?
The key features of GetMentioned are:
- Track your brand visibility across multiple AI models over time
- See which domains and URLs AI tools cite most often
- Identify competitors who appear in AI responses (but you don't)
- Find content gaps (to some extent) where you should be visible but aren't
Unlike tools that use API integrations, GetMentioned mimics real user queries. This means you see the actual responses real users get, not the optimized-for-efficiency API versions.

How did I test GetMentioned?
This test was made in October 2025. Be aware that these AI tools evolve rapidly, with new features being added and removed every week.
What I have written in this review today might no longer be valid 7 days later.
I have personally tested GetMentioned as part of a larger effort to test all the major AI search visibility platforms (Writesonic, Peec AI, Scalenut, etc). Therefore, this is not an AI-generated review based on the opinions of others.
This review is based on my personal experience of using GetMentioned in a real-life scenario for an actual client.
To write this review, I also joined a call with the founder of GetMentioned, who shared his view on the tool.
Yes, I used ChatGPT for a deep research about GetMentioned. The goal was to find the most accurate information about this tool.
Can GetMentioned provide you with business-relevant metrics?
To give you a helpful answer, I will be focusing on a few aspects that I consider essential as a marketer working for businesses that need to monitor their AI search visibility:
- Does GetMentioned have multi-AI-engine coverage?
Yes. GetMentioned tracks your brand across multiple AI platforms in one dashboard. The platform monitors:
- ChatGPT
- Google Gemini
- Perplexity
Claude and AI mode are missing from the major AI search engines. But you already have good coverage with these three.
GetMentioned's AI search engines to track
- Does GetMentioned offer a good user experience?
Yes, especially when it comes to onboarding and day-to-day use.
GetMentioned's onboarding takes about 3 minutes, and it's AI-assisted. Here's the flow:
- Add your domain: The platform scrapes your landing page and auto-generates your company description.
- Create topics: Add products, categories, or keywords indicating buying intent. In this area, I believe GetMentioned could improve. After scraping web pages, the tool should be able to automatically add those topics based on the detailed description provided.
- Get prompt suggestions: AI instantly suggests relevant prompts based on your chosen topic. This is very handy because creating prompts can be time-consuming.
- Select geos: Choose the locations you want to track (US, Germany, Poland, and 2 more that I do not remember). This is an interesting feature, as the answers will certainly vary depending on where the person searches.
- Add competitors: You need to enter competitor domains manually. GetMentioned should also improve here after the AI has analysed the website and provided a near-perfect description.
- After setup, your first data appears in 5-10 minutes. I liked the fact that the tool "takes its time" and makes you understand: "Come back in a few minutes, unless you want some 💩 data." Other tools ain't so clear about this point.
- Does GetMentioned offer a good amount of data for its price?
The price/data ratio of GetMentioned is average. This is what it consists of:
- €89/month - 30 prompts
- €199/month - 100 prompts
Both plans include:
- Unlimited team members
- Unlimited companies to track
- All features (insights, competitor suggestions, prompt suggestions)
- Multi-geo tracking
- 3 AI models
Most AI visibility tools charge per user or limit how many companies you can track. GetMentioned doesn't.
You only pay for the number of prompts you're tracking. If you're Adidas and want to track 100 competitors? No extra charge.
GetMentioned's pricing
- Does GetMentioned give accurate and trustworthy data?
Many AI search visibility tools use API integrations to gather data. This method is easier and cheaper to implement. However, GetMentioned doesn't use APIs. Instead, it mimics what a real person would do: enter the prompt into the AI platform, capture the response, and analyse the data.
Yes, in my opinion, the data from GetMentioned is as accurate as it could be. I wouldn't consider it bulletproof, as with any other tool that does not use first-party data.
Is it enough to make marketing decisions? Yes, it is.
- Does GetMentioned offer actionable tips beyond just data?
Partially. GetMentioned's beta "insights" function shows:
- Which sources AI considers valuable when mentioning competitors (so you know what type of content works)
- Which domains and URLs AI tools cite most often (so you know where to publish)
- Which prompts you're missing from (so you know what content gaps to fill)
This provides you with the foundation for an action plan, but you need to build the actual strategy yourself.
- Does GetMentioned show you the estimated traffic from AI search engines to your business?
No. GetMentioned does not show an estimated number of visits coming from AI search engines. For that, you need to connect your GA4. I leave you a tutorial to help you with that:
- Can you connect AI citations to the number of clients you receive?
No. GetMentioned does not offer built-in, end-to-end AI referral attribution (i.e., it won’t tell you “this ChatGPT mention → X visits/leads”). It’s a monitoring/analytics tool for AI answer visibility (mentions, position, sentiment, citations), not a traffic/ROI attribution platform.
- Does GetMentioned offer a brand's sentiment tracking?
No. GetMentioned doesn't perform automated sentiment analysis of how your brand is portrayed in AI responses. Scalenut, as a comparison, provides a Reddit-focused sentiment overview; Peec AI provides an AI-focused sentiment overview, but it's just a number without anything more. And Writesonic provides an AI-focused sentiment, but it's gated behind a $499 plan. 😱
- Does GetMentioned offer a good brand presence overview?
GetMentioned provides you with a comprehensive dashboard that shows where your brand stands across all AI platforms you're tracking.
How does GetMentioned's AI search visibility work?
The fundamental question here is: Does GetMentioned use APIs, or does it scrape the actual web interfaces of AI platforms?
Here, the answer was super easy to find, as I had the pleasure of having a call with the founder of GetMentioned, Bartek Szafranow (thank you so much for your time!).
Many AI tracking tools use API integrations. They send a request to ChatGPT's API, get a response back, and log it. This approach is easier and cheaper to build.
But here's the problem: AI models behave differently through APIs versus real user interfaces.
When you query an AI through its API, the response is optimized for efficiency: It minimizes token usage to reduce costs. When a real person asks the same question through the actual ChatGPT interface, the AI is optimized for quality, and it gives the best possible answer regardless of token count.
GetMentioned doesn't use APIs. Instead, it mimics real user behavior.
The platform automates what you would do manually: open ChatGPT, type the question, read the response, copy it, and analyze it. This approach "mimics the real data that users are shown" according to the research document.
The CEO explained:
"We want to automate the process as if you were sitting in front of the computer and you would type the prompts yourself, copy the LLM response, and analyze the data yourself."
As in the other AI search visibility tools' review, I give a lot of importance to their documentation. I need to mention this point here too: GetMentioned does not provide detailed documentation. I suppose that's because they're a recent product in beta testing, and more detailed documentation will be added in the future.
What data does GetMentioned search visibility collect?
GetMentioned runs brand- and topic-specific prompts across major AI engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI Overview, Perplexity) and logs whether/how your brand is mentioned. This visibility dataset is refreshed daily.
AI search brand visibility
GetMentioned shows the AI search brand visibility. It's intuitive and easy to set up. A feature that I would like to have: When I click on a competitor's name, the AI search engine shows me where these competitors are mentioned. Currently, we don't have this function. Let's see whether GetMentioned will implement it soon.
GetMentioned.co landing page
Source-level attribution
When an AI mentions your brand and provides citations, GetMentioned captures exactly which domains and URLs were used.
For example, if ChatGPT says "Company X is a leader in project management" and cites a TechCrunch article as the source, GetMentioned shows:
- The mention of Company X
- The specific URL (TechCrunch article)
- Which AI model cited it
- When it was cited
- Which prompt triggered it
A set of prompts where a specific page was mentioned by AI search engines
This helps you understand where AI tools are "learning" about you. If you notice AI frequently cites Wikipedia or specific industry publications, you know those sources are valuable for AI visibility, and you can take content ideas from them.
Multi-location tracking
Since AI tools provide different answers depending on the country, GetMentioned allows you to track prompts across more than five countries.
The same question in English receives different responses in the US, Germany, and Poland. GetMentioned runs your prompts in each selected country so you can see the differences in AI visibility across regions.
Where does GetMentioned take the information?
I always try to answer these questions by consulting first-party data. In this case, however, I did not have access to such data, so I had to base my answer on information provided by the CEO.
GetMentioned runs your tracked prompts across the AI platforms once daily. For each prompt, it:
- Queries the AI engine (i.e., asks ChatGPT a question).
- Captures the complete response
- Analyses the text for brand mentions
- Records which source the AI cited (domains and URLs)
- Stores this data in your dashboard
How does data stay current?
It seems that GetMentioned does not rely on cached data or historical snapshots. It queries AI platforms in real time every day. This means you're always working with current data, not information from weeks ago.
What do I think about GetMentioned's data quality?
Their data is useful, but I don't expect it to be infallible (I feel the same way about larger providers like Semrush and Ahrefs).
Is GetMentioned's data sufficient for me to make content marketing decisions? Yes, and I'm happy with that.
What would I improve in GetMentioned's visibility tool?
Actionable insights. The function is still in the beta testing stage, so I'm sure my recommendation won't be completely dismissed.
Still, at this stage, I recommend making the insights more concrete. Currently, the tool provides a list of action points, but does not explain how to execute them.
GetMentioned's actionable insights dashboard in beta, taken from my call with the CEO of GetMentioned
The actionable insights dashboard in GetMentioned is in beta and was taken from my call with the company's CEO.
Although GetMentioned's team claims that their "source" tool is a "list of content to write to increase AI search visibility", we still lack audit elements such as "content with poor readability" and negative conversations to engage with to improve brand sentiment.
How is GetMentioned's user experience?
Pretty intuitive:
- You sign in
- You put your business information in the tool
- You choose the prompts you want to track
- You land on the landing page
Once you're on the main page, the interface is quite rich in information, but not overwhelming:

How GetMentioned's interface looks
How much does GetMentioned cost?
Here is the detailed breakdown of GetMentioned's costs:
- €89/month for 30 prompts
- €199/month for 100 prompts
- Unlimited users and companies tracked
- All features included (insights, competitor suggestions, etc.)
- Agency pricing is available but not disclosed
Here's what I think about GetMentioned's
pricing:
GetMentioned is in the Peec AI league (€199 vs €199 for the plan I'm using)
GetMentioned offers AI search visibility, and on top of that, it also provides a list of actionable insights (it's still in beta testing).
The downside is that it does not offer a sentiment analysis.
Scalenut is at the lowest side of the spectrum. Writesonic and Semrush are in the middle. Ahrefs and Profound are the highest end of the spectrum.
What is my conclusion on GetMentioned?
GetMentioned is a visibility tracker, not a strategy tool. It's good for understanding 'what's happening', but not 'what to do about it'.
If you're looking for an AI visibility tool without spending a fortune on Ahrefs's AI visibility, GetMentioned could be a good alternative.
